We serve hot meals to the homeless. 

RAIN OR SHINE WE ARE THERE !

 Since September of 2021 we joined the wonderful volunteers at PCNY in there Feed The Homeless every Wednesday at 9:30 PM at 34st and 8th ave in Manhattan project. PCNY has been doing this project for the past 7 years. Rain or shine volunteers are out there every Wednesday giving out hot meals , clothing, sneakers and toiletries to the homeless.

From  July 2024 the tradition continues at 280 Bowery St New York, NY 10012.

After personally going once we were so impressed with the volunteers and the number of people just pulling up and donating food and we knew we wanted to be part of this. We have since donated food every week to feed 150 people and made a vow to continue doing so until the end of 2022 year. It has been amazing to see the spirit of charity grow and since, have been able to partner up with other companies to help support the cause by getting all the paper products needed each week to serve the meals completely donated. We created this fund due to the overwhelming response from other people wanting to help for the 2023 year.

This fund will be used to help pay for the meals for the following year. 

Brain Food will continue to make all the meals at the cost of goods only with no markup for anything, not even labor! Unlike a lot of other charities and missions where 80% of the donation can be eaten up by administrative costs, here 100% of the money collected is used for food. This is how we are able to feed 150 people with nutritious meals for only $350 each week bringing the price per meal to just $2.33. Each meal contains a full portion of grain/starch, a portion of protein and a portion of vegetables. Thank you for taking the time to read this and donate to the mission.
