How Being A Rethink Certified Partner Works

The Rethink Certified program helped keep the doors of the restaurant open when everything went on lockdown March 15 2020. Government grants were taking forever and the PPP was too little too late. This program provided us with immediate funding to create meals for those who needed them most. CBO's all over NYC had lost staff who were cooking meals due to the fear of catching Covid -19 but Rethink acted quick and started this program contracting restaurants all over NYC to fill this void. We were able to keep all our employees working and cover our fixed costs like rent and utilities. We are forever grateful to the team at Rethink for preventing us from going out of business with this amazing program.
Rethink Accomplishments
- More than 5 million meals prepared for communities impacted by food insecurity
- Over 90 Rethink Certified partners prepared meals for local communities
- 9,000,000 Lbs of perfectly good food rescued
- More than $24 million dollars directly invested in restaurants bakeries and catering companies and their communities
- More than 185 community-based organizations supported the distribution of meals
